Danebod Folk Meeting takes place annually, from Wednesday night through Sunday noon during the last week of August at the Folk School at Tyler, Minnesota. Through the years the meeting has primarily attracted older adults, although there are no restrictions on age. Participants come from all parts of the U.S. In general, the program consists of three general interest lectures daily, two hours of singing both Danish and English, two short devotional periods each day, and a story hour each afternoon. Due to the Danish origin there are three coffee hours each day. For those people who are still able to do so, after each long day they can enjoy folk dancing to live music after the evening coffee hour. The meetings end with Sunday dinner.
